In Person Reiki Sessions

Service Description

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered through a person who has been attuned to channel the energy either by touch or hovering the hands over the body. It is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words: Rei (God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power) and Ki (Life force energy). Reiki is actually spiritually guided life force energy. Reiki treats the whole person – body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many people have experienced reduction of pain, complete physical healing and reduction or elimination of stress and anxiety. People receiving a Reiki treatment report many different experiences; warmth or tingling through the body, deep relaxation, some see colors or images during the session. There is no "right" way to receive or experience a Reiki session. Everyone is an individual, and will experience the session in their own way. Sessions are held at your choice of location (your home or office; outdoor in a park or by a stream etc.) and will last approximately 30 minutes. Each session includes a personal smudging and discussion of the experience after. Please note - an additional charge of $0.50 per mile round trip will be applied for any sessions further than 30 miles from Broadview, IL.
